Fueling Your Digital World! The NitroAV Stardom SR6600 RAID subsystem is designed for digial video/audio, graphic professionals, small to medium busineses and end users to extend storage capacity as well as create a redundant and secure digital storage solution. The SR6600-FSU comes standard with Firewire 800, USB2.0 & SATA/eSATA 1.5Ghz host interfaces and supports five internal SATA I or SATA ll disk drives. The SR6600-U3 is also available in a dual port SCSI-320U single host channel interface. The RAID subsystem is designed with a high-performance disk array Controller and can setup a RAID 5 configuration in approx. 3 hours via the LCD or Lan port from any current standard browser. When properly configured, the RAID subsystem can provide non-stop service with a high degree of fault tolerance through the use of RAID technology and advanced array management features.
The RAID subsystem allows easy scalability from RAID 0 to RAID 6. It can be configured to RAID levels 0, 1, 10, 3, 5 and 6. The RAID 6 function allows two HDD failure without impact on the existing data and failed drive Data can be reconstructed from the remaining data and parity drives. RAID configuration and monitoring can be done through the LCD front control panel or LAN port from any current browser (Mac, Windows or Linus) or via serial port (Windows). The SR6600 also supports all major operating systems such as Windows 98SE/2000/NT/ME/XP/XP Pro/Server & Vista, Novell, Solaris, Macintosh, Linux, UNIX, etc.

The Stardom SR6600 Series RAID subsystem offers features only seen in much higher end products like: Array roaming which stores configuration information both in NVRAM and on the disk drives which protects the configuration settings in the case of a disk drive or controller failure. Array roaming allows the administrators the ability to move a completely RAID set to another system without losing RAID configuration and data on that RAID set. If a server fails to work, the RAID set disk drives can be moved to another server and inserted in any order.
