The NitroAV Stardom  SR7610 Series 1U Professional External Storage subsystem is designed to provide huge digital storage space in a optimize 1U design for rackmount solution. The SR7610 is optimal for digial video/audio, graphic professionals, small to medium business's and end users to extend storage capacity as well as create a redundant storage solution but in a compact 1U enclosure. Supporting four internal SATA II 3.0Ghz hard drives but also backwards compatible for standard SATA 1.5Ghz support. The SR7610 is available in two configurations: one offers up to 2000GB solution with high performance eSATA, FireWire800/1394b and USBv2.0 host interface or the amazingly fast four external eSATA port version which offers capacities up to 4000GB at lightning fast speeds.

When setup as a RAID with software (RAID 0 and 1), firmware (RAID 0, 1 & 5) or Hardware (RAID 0,1,5 and 10) the SR7610's flexibility enables the system to be tuned to the required level of performance and fault-tolerance necessary to support your application.  When used with the PCIe/PCI-X hardware RAID controller there is no more 2TB disk capacity limitation (32-bit) on Windows XP.  Windows 2000 / XP/Vista are 32 bit operating systems with a built-in limitation that logical disks cannot be greater than 2TB (2048GB). The hardware RAID Controller breaks this barrier with a new technology as well as Variable Sector Size (VSS). VSS increases the sector size presented to the operating system making it possible to now have logical disks of up to 16TB! No more breaking large disk volumes into multiple 2TB volumes!
