SATA is the proactive evolution of the ATA interface from a parallel bus to a serial bus architecture. IMPORTANT NOTE: Macintosh & Windows/Linux versions are different. Do not forget to specify correctly as Macintosh version will not work in a Windows operating system or vise-versa.

Note regarding linux - we supply links to various drivers from the chipset manufacturers. It is important regarding linux that you have confirmed your linux build supports this type of card and the drivers are available online. There are dozens of linux versions available and because of this, we do not offer technical support for linux installs, drivers and/or recompiling support.
