We would like to note, that when shopping, if the retailer does not advertise it is the Texas Instruments chip, it probably isn't. FirewireDirect always provides TI based FireWire cards. Also, beware of other brands that do not state the product uses the native TI PCI Express chip. There is a substantial difference in performance, if it is not the native version.
